Cucuro

We're introducing...
Your Friendly AI Companion for Focus, Learning, and Emotional Support

Meet Cucuro

Meet Cucuro—your lively, expressive AI companion who hangs out right on your dekstop!
She's not just a tool; she's a tiny burst of personality who reacts to your workflow, reminds you to breathe, cheers you on when you're stuck, and even helps you squash bugs in your code.
Created with neurodivergent creators, students, and developers in mind, Cucuro blends emotional support with practical help—all wrapped in an animated character who feels warm, fun, and surprisingly real. She's here to brighten your day, keep you grounded, and make getting things done feel a little more magical.

How It All Started

Cucuro didn't begin as the energetic mascot she is today. She actually started as a QSMP-inspired doodle—a little bear with too many decorations and a simple "worker" vibe. But over time, that doodle evolved into a completely different character… one filled with movement, personality, and spark.
The moment her first sketch appeared, something clicked. Her pose, her energy, her expression—they felt alive. And then, life happened. She was set aside for almost a year, quietly waiting to be rediscovered. Then came StartSchool.
For our second hackathon, we had to create a startup-focused project. I've always loved digital companions—characters you can interact with, who support you, who feel present in your space. So I began searching for inspiration.
That's when one name came to mind: vedal987—the mastermind behind Neuro-sama, one of the first AI VTubers to truly explode in popularity. Seeing Neuro-sama interact, entertain, and connect with people sparked a question that changed everything: "How can I take this idea of an interactive character and turn it into something people can experience personally—right on their own computer?" And that's when I remembered her.
I went digging, found that old sketch from a year ago, and it felt like she lit up all over again. Cucuro was officially reborn.

Building the Dream

The first person I teamed up with was DaVinC (Kevin). We dove headfirst into exploring Kimjammer’s recreation of Neuro-sama’s codebase—hoping to learn, experiment, and understand how interactive AI characters come to life. DaVinC recommended Pann (Irfan) who was an LLM enthusiast, from there we started the project. And then… chaos... Errors... Versions...
Virtual environments collapsing in on themselves like dying stars. But we kept pushing. Every bug taught us something new, and every failed attempt brought us closer to making Cucuro real. While Kevin and I wrestled with code gremlins, Ira and I dove deep into character design.

Designing Cucuro's World

Designing Cucuro was pure creative electricity. We wanted to keep elements of her "bear" roots while letting her newfound personality shine. So we started sketching—poses, hairstyles, expressions, outfits, everything. And then we asked ourselves:
"What if Cucuro wasn't alone?"
What if there were more critters? More companions? A whole cast of characters that people could connect with?
That's when creativity exploded.
We started designing character concepts based on different animals, each with their own energy: Sea Angels, Sea Bunnies, Red Pandas, Horses, Golden Retriever
And so many more on the way
Suddenly we weren't building just a character—we were building a world.
A world full of charm, emotion, and a whole family of companions waiting to be brought to life.

Where We're Going Next

Cucuro is still actively under development, and honestly? We're having the time of our lives. We're refining her personality, improving her animations, battling code beasts, sketching new friends for her world, and shaping this project into something truly special.
We're building Cucuro with passion, creativity, and full artistic freedom—and we can't wait to show you everything that's coming next. This is just the beginning.
Cucuro and her critter companions have so much more in store.
And we're beyond excited to share the journey with you.
